Jessica and Brandon shared such a special day with their loved ones to celebrate the beginning of their marriage! First of all, I have to mention that you need to pay attention to a lot of these details! There were so many items that were DIY projects for the bride and groom, and it all came together beautifully! The groom built all the lanterns for the centerpieces, the bride designed/made her shoes, the groom's father made the wooden signs you see, and the bride made their desserts and cake! It's awesome when there are so many special and unique touches to the day to photograph. Jessica is an avid reader and you'll see books tied into the centerpieces and decor as well. So cute!
Jessica and Branden's wedding venue is where I shot my very first wedding as a lead photographer! The first couple to book me as Brittney Cottman Photography to capture their special day, said "I do" in this same spot 9 years ago. It was nostalgic pulling in the drive and seeing the barn and everything laid out almost exactly like it was back then. This was the first time I had been back to The Ohio Barn In 9 years. It made me reflect on how grateful I am to the couple who knew I had only second shot and assisted with weddings before, but decided to trust me to capture their day anyway. Without diving in like that, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing today! Because of Megan and Brooks in 2013, I've been able to witness so many amazing "I do's" over the years and I was able to witness Jessica and Branden mark the start of their forever on this day that you'll see below.
